Education & Experience

• Certified RPN & Registered In Good Standing With The College Of Nurses Of Ontario (CNO)
• BCLS Certification At The Health Care Provider Level
• Experience An Asset

Responsibilities and Tasks Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Manage Daily Patient Intake & Flow
• Record Vital Signs
• Administer Injections &/Or Oral Medications
• Perform: Wound Care, Dressings, Splints, EKGs, Wart Treatments, Remove Sutures, Ear Flushes, Etc.
• Support MDs With Patient Care &/Or Procedures As Required
• Maintain Clean Patient Rooms & Adequate Inventory Of Medical Supplies
• Document As Necessary
• Promote Inter-Professional Collaboration & Team Building

Education And Experience

• Experience In Medical Administration Required
• Completion Of Grade XII Or Recognized Equivalent
• Completion Of A Diploma In Medical Administration Or Office Assistant Preferred

• Greeting And Registering Patients
• Answering Phones And Calling Patients
• Scheduling And Booking Appointments Or Referrals
• Sorting And Sending Mail
• Data Entry, E-Mailing, Faxing, Scanning, And Printing
• Complete Forms And Letters As Required
• Maintaining A Clean And Tidy Workspace
• Offer Administrative Support As Needed And Required

Requirements

• Must Be 16 Years Of Age Or Older
• Agree To A Health Screening That Includes A 2-Step TB Test
• Communicate Well In English, Both In Speaking & Writing
• Commit To A Minimum Of 2–4 Hours Per Week For Approximately 6 Months Or More
• Must Be Professional, Reliable, Punctual, & Work Well With Others
• Must Maintain Clinic & Patient Confidentiality
• Must Comply With All The Safety Standards Of The Workplace
• Proactive & A Problem Solver

Responsibilities and Tasks Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Assist With Patient Flow
• Assist With Administrative Tasks
• Ensure Medical Supplies Are Stocked
• Follow Directives, But Also Work Independently
• Support Clinic Staff With Duties As Requested
• Must Be Able To Be On Your Feet For Extended Time (Depending On Patient Volume, This Position May Be Physically Demanding)
